Changing Lives, One Wish at a Time: The Story of Shree Shakti Seva Kendra

As I ponder upon my journey, I can’t help but feel humbled by the unpredictable path it has taken me on. It all started 14 years ago on a barefoot journey to Ambaji, where I chanced upon Adivasi kids who opened my eyes to their realities. Their struggles were heart-wrenching, and I knew then that I had to do something to help them.

It was a spur-of-the-moment decision on the last day of the journey when I asked them to share their wishes with me. Little did I know that their innocent request to experience a ride on a ropeway would change my life forever. Seeing their faces light up with joy and laughter as we soared through the sky was a moment etched forever in my heart. It was then that I knew that my mission in life was to help these children.

With the formation of Shree Shakti Seva Kendra, we started with 35 children and faced numerous obstacles, but our resolve remained unshaken. We fought tirelessly to secure the basic necessities for these children, such as birth certificates, education, and a safe haven in the form of a hostel.

The transformation of these children has been awe-inspiring. Their thirst for knowledge and ambition to serve their country is a testament to their indomitable spirit. They aspire to join the armed forces, police, or navy and make a difference in the world.

We didn’t stop at just helping the children but also their families. We bridged the gap between the government and Adivasi families by enrolling them in different schemes and securing them basic necessities like electricity and housing plots. We adopted the entire family, ensuring that everyone in the household received an equal opportunity to excel.

The journey has not been easy, but the rewards have been immeasurable. Witnessing the children who once begged in Ambaji now performing the aarti of Ambaji through our Namahmi Aambe initiative fills me with immense pride. We have created a legacy where Ambaji is now a child-begging-free zone, and that is a defining moment in our journey.
Our work with Adivasi families and children is not just about charity, but it’s about empowering them to become self-sufficient and self-reliant. We have introduced them to sports and skill development programs, paving the way for a brighter future.

As our journey continues, we are always looking for more helping hands to join us in our mission. The journey may be unpredictable, but the destination is clear – to create a better future for these children and their families. Together, we can make a difference, one child at a time.
