Shree Shakti Seva Kendra

Empowering Lives with Dignity, Devotion, and Direction.

A story from Ambaji — Since 2009

She was 8,
begging at Gabbar Hill.
Today she reads to her class.

In the tribal hamlets around Ambaji, school often lost to hunger and need. A child’s day began not with a bell, but with a bowl.

At Shree Shakti Seva Kendra, that story is changing — quietly, every day. A safe hostel bed in Panchha. A uniform that fits. A mother who no longer has to send her daughter to beg because she can now earn.

This page is not a pitch. It’s what education really looks like here — and how it continues.

Why education is the real rescue

Hunger ends for a day.
Education ends begging for a generation.

We tried giving food and clothes. It helped for a night. What kept a child in school was different — a place to sleep safely, a meal every night, a mother who could earn without sending her child out to beg.

What happens after a child arrives

Three quiet changes — you can feel them.

1
She stops walking to the temple to ask
Our team meets the family where they are. No scolding. We talk, we listen, we arrange admission, uniform and a daily auto — so school becomes the easier, safer choice.
2
She gets a bed, a meal and a routine
At the Panchha hostel, dinner is warm, homework has help, and the night is safe. It sounds small. For a child who slept on a temple step, it is everything.
3
Her mother gets a way to earn
A sewing machine or a loom. Not a donation, but a livelihood. When a mother earns, a daughter stays in school — not because we said so, but because she can.
My daughter had never held a book. Now she reads in English and says she will become a teacher. We never thought this life was for us. — Savitriben, mother of a Chhatralaya student, Panchha

If you choose to help

Here’s what your support can quietly do.

No tiers. No pressure. Just what a small, steady amount means in a child’s actual week.

₹800
A month she stays in school
Notebooks, uniform care and the auto ride. The reason she doesn’t miss school when the family moves for work.
₹2,500
A month she eats well
Milk, fruit, hostel dinners. A child who eats at night concentrates in class the next morning.
₹7,000
A mother’s livelihood
One machine + starter kit. She joins a Self-Help Group and starts earning. That income keeps her children in school.
Any amount, any rhythm
Some friends give monthly, some once. Both matter. Monthly just lets the hostel plan — food, teachers, lights — without worry.
80G receipt for every donation. PAN needed for 80G.
