Why skills matter

When mothers earn, boys and girls stay in school

Poverty is the biggest reason children leave school. When a mother earns, her sons and daughters study instead of working. Child labor drops. School results rise.

A skilled mother is our strongest school for the next generation. That is why this women empowerment NGO in Gujarat gives skills first.

Before the course, our income was small and shaky. Today I lead a self-help group that makes temple flags. I pay my children’s school fees myself.
